Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports Academic Affairs unit through direct and indirect administrative support
- Provides direct administrative support to VPAA
- Serves as first line resource in Academic Affairs for faculty, students, staff, and other
stakeholders
- Maintains current and accurate repository of certain academic policies and associated forms
- Coordinates travel and schedules for faculty interviews
- Assists Director of Innovative Teaching with planning and executing New Faculty Orientation
- Takes minutes of Academic Council meetings
- Collects and organizes study abroad documentation (itineraries, ICE, etc.)


Plans and executes Academic Affairs events
- Serves as chair of Convocation, Commencement, and Student Awards planning committees
- Coordinates food and space for faculty and other Academic Affairs related events


Coordinates faculty hiring process
- Collaborates with HR to create, collect and maintain documentation for faculty files
- Collaborates with Deans and VPAA to generate adjunct faculty contracts and assign them
appropriate courses in Nexus
- Communicates with job candidates throughout the process


Manages AA supplies, AA events, travel budgets


Supports delivery and assessment of quality outcomes-based University curriculum
- Conducts syllabi audits and generates compliance reports to Deans/ Directors/ Area Chairs
- Coordinates course evaluations, Proficiency Profile, Major Field Tests, and related assessment


Supervises work-study students


Oversees University on-line bookstore

Qualifications:


- Outstanding organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability, ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that
encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively,
cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
- Demonstrated office management and/or administrative support experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite
- Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
