Midland University, a private liberal arts university in Fremont, NE, is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Center of Graduate and Professional Studies to join the Midland Marketing & Communications team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess an incredible work ethic, and have an eye for design. This individual should have strong project management skills with a willingness to learn new programs in a fast-paced environment, team environment. This position will report directly to the Director of Institutional Marketing and Branding and will work from both the Fremont and Omaha offices.

Job Duties:

  • Supports the overall external marketing strategy for the Center of Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS) with a focus on creative, data-driven digital content and print collateral
  • Helps create and execute the production schedule to ensure that project goals, objectives, and details are accurately presented in conjunction with the Director of the CGPS and the AVP for Online Development.
  • Help create, manage and execute project plans and schedules
  • Coordinates with multiple vendors for digital & print production
  • Coordinates with internal staff specialist to complete projects by the established timeline
  • Help write, edit, and proof content on a variety of projects and plans
  • Contribute to the university's social media strategy development and execution
  • Assist in the creation of the department marketing budget and manage the spending
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous project schedules working under direction of cross-functional team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Communications, English, Marketing or related degree preferred)
  • Five or more years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience using multi-channel marketing and communication strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Understanding of marketing best practices, current issues and trends, industry standards, content creation, design, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, Media buying, web design and UX, social media, photography, videography and relevant technologies.
  • Positive team player with a proactive approach and a high level of energy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Videography or video editing skills a plus
  • Experience in digital content marketing, website management, & social media
  • Google AdWords or Analytics certifications
  • Experience in design programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience in Higher Education Marketing
