Midland University is seeking an exceptional faculty member with expertise in quantitative and qualitative social science research methodology for a full-time position beginning August 2022. Teaching responsibilities will include interdisciplinary courses in Social Science Statistics and Research Methods as well as additional upper-level psychology courses based on expertise (i.e., Physiological Psychology, Tests & Measurement, Cognition, Advanced Experimental Psychology). Highly qualified applicants will demonstrate ability to think innovatively, build competence in technology, and use engaging pedagogy to help students deepen their learning and broaden their perspectives.

  • PhD in Psychology or a related discipline
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Commitment to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students
  • Creating dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom
  • A willingness to collaborate with peers
  • A genuine interest in student development, particularly as it relates to social science research
