Midland University, a private, Christian, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking leadership to guide the men's soccer program. This is a full-time appointment with a to-be-determined start date. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of the operation of the program.

The program should focus on the aspects of character development, recruitment and roster management. The ideal candidate will be committed to the total development of the student-athlete and the soccer program's role as an integral part of the campus community. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability and desire to recruit students, especially from Nebraska and surrounding states.

The candidate must show a commitment to building a strong robust community with the men's soccer team on campus while developing and teaching character in an effort to be excellent both on and off the field. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of compliance with all GPAC, NAIA and institutional rules and regulations at all times.

Successful fulfillment of men's soccer coaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to: strong organizational, communication and leadership skills; proven ability to recruit quality soccer student-athletes, instruction of soccer strategies, fundamentals, coaching skills and psychological skills training; scheduling and coaching practices and contests; mentoring and retaining student-athletes, monitoring annual sport budgets; aid development office in fundraising; coordinating travel arrangements for team competition; supervising assistant coaches; organize and manage camps and clinics any other duties as assigned by the administration.

Candidate must be able to work as a team member, be self-directed and be willing to serve as a goodwill ambassador for Midland University. Candidates also must possess experience working with diverse students and staff. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to organize and motivate student-athletes in sports and academic achievements.

Need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of three years coaching experience in a position of leadership

Nice to have:

  • A master's degree
