Midland University, a private, faith based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of Metro Omaha), is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator (RLC). This is a full-time appointment with start-date to be determined. This is a 12-month, live-in, hourly position from 8AM to 4:30PM that requires approximately 40 hours per work week with additional evening and weekend hours possible.

Position Summary:
Midland University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) to join our Student Life team. As a live-in professional staff member, the RLC is responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive residential environment that enhances student development and success. This role oversees the daily operations of on-campus residential communities and plays a pivotal role in student engagement and community building.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, provide professional development, mentor, and evaluate a team of Resident Advisors (RAs).
- Foster a vibrant residential experience through programming and community engagement initiatives.
- Address student conduct issues, crisis situations, and behavioral concerns in alignment with university policies.
- Serve in an on-call rotation to respond to student emergencies and provide after-hours support.
- Manage administrative functions such as room assignments, maintenance requests, occupancy reports, and budget tracking.
- Collaborate with campus departments to support student academic and personal success.
- Lead training sessions for student staff and facilitate hall meetings with residents.
- Participate in departmental planning, assessment, and committee work.
- Promote residential belonging within the on-campus living community.
